Calculations based on volume and surface area of circular cone

Cone

A cone is a three-dimensional geometric shape. Cones are assumed to be right circular, where circular means that the base is a circle and right means that the axis passes through the centre of the base at right angles to its plane.

Formulae used

h = height of cone
r = radius of circular cone
Slant height of cone( l )= √(h2 + r2)
Volume of cone= 1/3 πr2
Curved surface area of cone = πrl
Total surface area of cone = π r(r + √(h2 + r2))

To find h and r :

\[r = \sqrt{\frac{Total \: surface\: area - Curved\: surface\: area}{\pi }} \]

\[l = \frac{curved\: surface\: area }{\pi r} \]

\[h = \sqrt{l^{2} - r^{2}} \]
