Rectangular pyramid
A rectangular pyramid has a rectangle for a base with triangles for the other faces. The pyramids in Egypt are rectangular pyramids. A pyramid culminates at a peak sometimes called the apex.

Formulae used
l = length of pyramid
w = width of pyramid
h = height of pyramid
\[Volume\: of\: pyramid = \frac{\left ( l\: x\: w\: x\: h \right )}{3} \]
\[Surface\: area \: \: of\: \: pyramid =\left ( l\: x\: w\right )+\left ( l\: x\: \sqrt{\left ( \frac{w}{2} \right )^{2}+h^{2}} \right )+\left ( w\: x\: \sqrt{\left ( \frac{l}{2} \right )^{2}+h^{2}} \right ) \]
