Problems on trains - Stationary object  with negligible length

In this section, we consider a scenario where the train is passing by a stationary object with negligible length such as a pole or a standing man.

we calculate time taken by the train to pass this object.

Formulae used

\[Time \: taken = \frac{length \: of\: the\: train}{Speed} \]

\[speed\: km/hr = \left ( speed \times \frac{5}{18}\right )\: m/sec \]

\[speed\: m/sec = \left (speed \times \frac{18}{5} \right ) km/hr \]
