Calculations based on Percentage - Estimate population and population growth rate

Population growth

Population growth is increase in number of individulas in the population.

This is given in terms percentage.

We can estimate the population for a period of time if the population growth rate is given.

Formule Used

P = current population

R = rate of population growth per annum

n = number of years.

\[Population \: after\: n \: years = P\left ( 1 + \frac{R}{100} \right )^{n} \]

\[Population \: n \: years \: ago= \frac{P}{\left ( 1 + \frac{R}{100} \right )^{n}} \]

Calculating population

Formula : population after n years = P(1 + R/100)n
