B.sc 1 sem Physics important laws
Zeroth law of thermodynamic; "If two bodies or systems each in thermal equilibrium with the third body then they are in thermal equilibrium with each other"
First law of thermodynamic; "The heat energy supplied to a system is the sum of the increase in the internal energy of the system and the work done by the system"
Second law of thermodynamic; "Its impossible to construct an engine that operates in a cycle will produce no effect other than the extraction of heat from the reservoir and the performance of an equivalent amount of work"
Kelvins statement; "Its impossible to derive a continuous supply of energy by cooling a body below the coldest of its surrounding"
Clausius statement; "Its impossible for a self acting machine to transfer heat from a body at a lower temperature to a body at a higher temperature"
Carnot's theorem; " No heat enerenergy working between two heat reservoir's can be more efficient than a Carnot's reversible engine working between the same temperature "
Newtons 1st law ; "Every body continues to be in the state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled by an external force to change that state*
Newtons 2nd law ; " The time rate of change oof momentum of a body is directly proportional to the applied force and takes place in the direction of force"
Newtons 3rd law; "If two bodies exerts force on each other then they are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction"
NewNewtons universal law of ggravitation; "Every particle in the universe attracts every other particle with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their forces and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them and acts along the line of joining the particles.
