You have recently been posted as a Superintendent of Police in a Naxalite-dominated area. You have prepared a detailed outline of the proceedings against the Naxalites because they have rejected the offer of the conversation you have presented. One day you are successful in arresting a notorious Naxalite leader during the incident in the forest along with your special team. But the next day Naxalites arrest four policemen in your department. In lieu of quitting these four policemen, they ask you to leave the Naxalite leader arrested by you. This problem is related to law and order and also related to sensitivity and understanding. On the one hand, there is a challenge to Naxalism, while the pressure of the family members of the policemen, and the pressure to save them.

In this situation, the following options are available?

We think about the abductions of the Maoists and save the policemen except the Maoist leader.

Attempt to solve the problem by placing a proposal once again before the Naxalites.

Necessary action should be taken against them by rejecting the demands of the Naxalites.

Evaluation of first option:

The first option is the easiest because if both sides agree to each other, the problem will be solved smoothly. But it will encourage Naxalites and they will put pressure on the administration to accept such incidents in future as well as accepting their wrong demands.
Thus selecting the first option will not be fair.

Evaluation of second option:

Proposal to be re-negotiated once again before the Naxalites is appropriate. They will have to tell that if they come out of violence and fall into the law, then the government will behave generously with them. The entire system of employment and rehabilitation will be done by the government. This option is fair but since Naxalites are firm on their demands, there is very little chance that they will accept your demand.

Evaluation of third option:

In the case of the disapproval of the above two options, the third option must be selected. This third option is related to the legal action against them by rejecting the illegitimate demand of the Naxalites.

Option I chose:

In this situation, the third option will be selected by me and a special team will be formed to rescue the Naxalites and release the hijacked policemen.

Order of action taken by me:

First of all, a special team will be formed which will be equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and bullet-proof garments.
After this the whole team will be divided into two parts. A part of the team will make the siege against the Naxalites and the second part will focus on the full attention of the hijacked Policeman.
The part of the team that surrounds the Naxalites will keep them completely confused with them and will continue firing continuously.
Meanwhile, the second part of the team will be able to complete the task of reducing the hijacked policemen.

Thus, this problem will be solved by courage, understanding and bravery.
