The living organisms have some unique characteristics , which differentiate them from non-living organisms.
Cell is the building block of living body. It is the structural and functional unit of life. This complex arrangement lacks in non-living organisms
It is the salient dynamic feature of all living beings. It is the sum total of all chemical reacations occurring in in the body of an organism.
All living organisms require nutrition for growth and development. Intakes of food particles to provide energy and material for its life sustaining activities is called Nutrition.
- Growth and Development :-
The of every organisms begains from cell. It further divides to form many cells , tissues, which form organs, organs system and finally a complete body. This phenomenon is called growth, which is the distinctive feature of an organism. following points diffentiate the growth in living and non-living being.
It is the salient feature of living organisms. Every organism reproduces for maintaining the continuity of life e.g Plant produces seeds, which germinate to produce the same plant again , likewise a mammals give birth to the child.
All organisms towards environmental changes. They have consciousness for their protection, feeling of heat and cold, withdrowl of organs after pinching off throns and touch with acid. These acts are also known as excitability.
- Adaptation:- Ajustment of an organism in response to external environmental changes os called adaptation e.g fishes are adapted to livein water , frogs are adapted to liveon land and in water both.
These are the main point that we help to find out difference between living and non living organisms.
