KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK IS A WORLD HERITAGE SIGHT.IT IS KNOWN FOR ONE HORNED RHINOCEROS.TELL US ABOUT THE STEPS TAKEN TO CONTROL POACHING OF RHINOCEROS.HOW CAN WE CONSERVE THIS ENDANGERED SPECIES IN FUTURE?

Kaziranga National Park is a World Heritage Site Declared by UNESCO in 1985. The Site is Conservation heavens to save the Endangered Species like One-Horned Rhinoceros in India.There is increase in number of rhinos in Kaziranga Park since 2015:

Steps to control poaching:

a) Appointment of Informers that convey information about Poachers and their Activities to Civil Administration.

b) The Acts of providing 'Political Patronage' to Poachers to gather Votes from the Constituency has been Stopped.

c) Use of Drones by Authorities to Keep Watch and Integrated efforts by Police Force of Neighbouring Districts and Forest Officials curbed the Activity.

conservation:

1) Sealing of Assam-Bangladesh Borders.The Poachers generally belong to Bangladesh's Militant Groups that trade Rhino Horns for arms.

2) Creating awareness in Public espacially the neighbouring Tribals to ensure Poaching is reported by them to Authorities.

3) Inclusive efforts from Forest Departments and Assam's Police Forces to curb Activities in the region.

4) Banning the sales of chemicals Used to Poison Rhinos , in Neighbouring areas of National Park.

5) Strict Survelliance by CCTV Night Vision Cameras and Drones to ensure reporting of Suspicious activities in the Premises.

6) New Recruits youth for Forest staff that are physically and Mentally Fit to curb Poachers.

7) Updated Laws and Regulatons for Wildlife Crimes in Country with Clear Rules drafted for Law enforcement agencies.

 conclusion:One Horned Rhino is National Pride and should be conserved. The need of the hour is Collective actions from Union Government and Governments of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram.
The Conservation measure would ensure India's Determination for SDG 2030 Goal of 'Preservation of Life on Land'.
