What do you know about Baba Sahab Ambedkars Ideology? How this Ideology relevant for today India?

  •  Ancient India was divided into 4 sections namely Brahmana, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Sudhra. But this division was not egalitarian and it followed a top down approach, where Brahmana were given the top and Shudras were given the bottom positions.
  • The society by that time was extremely hostile to Shudra. There was a revolution through the Buddhist ideology which was extremely diametrical to the "Divide and Rule" ideology.
  • But this ideology didn't exist for long time because of the suppression due to the upper castes. But during the Indian National Movement all the people irrespective of their castes came forward to join the National Movement and that was the time great leaders emerged and one such was DR. Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
  •  He was an intellectual and he recognized the importance of Liberty, equality and fraternity even after the India attained Independence.
  •  He was the architect of Indian constitution and included these principles.
Today, there is an increase in the Ambedkar's ideologies in Indian society.
  •  All people in India have an equal access through Rule of Law. The society today is transforming from “Divide and Rule" to "Egalitarian" through" Rule of Law" and various government policies. Egalitarianism should be deeply injected into the people's hearts. One of such scheme is "MID-DAY MEAL".
  •  Through this scheme the students irrespective of their castes sit to gather and eat. Through this they recognize fraternity and equality right from their childhood. Recently the Travancore management announced the recruitment of Dalit Priests in temples breaking the caste stereotypes.
  • "There are strict laws which are condemning the untouchbility and manual scavenging these days. Everyone is given equal importance in the society.
     CONCUSION:
    • If we consider the Indian society in 1900s and 2000s there has been a lot of transformation. But to create an egalitarian society we should strive hard. Along with laws we should draft the people's mindsets. Universalized education should be there. A country is said to be developed if each and every person in the country are developed. So a society shouldn't get marginalized and this was the dream of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
