In India, the health system is facing a variety of problems. Describe these problems in detail. Also, what measures should be taken to solve these problems so that the country's health system can be diverted?

Better health boosts the body's efficiency, thereby increasing productivity. For better health, the health system of the country must be in good condition. But the Indian health system suffers from many types of vulnerabilities.

Major problems inherent in Indian health system:

The biggest weakness of the Indian health system is the lethal infrastructure. Hospitals, nurses, doctors, as well as advanced equipment and machines are also lacking.

The main reason for the weak infrastructure of the country's health system is lack of money. It is known that the country's GDP of 1.5% is spent in the health sector.

The second major weakness is the lack of quality of healthcare facilities. There is not a proper system of treatment in all the places except the All India Medical Institution (AIIMS) in the country.

In some private hospitals, there are better treatment facilities, but the cost of treatment is so high that the common man does not take advantage of them.

Awareness is very important in relation to health but there is no proper system of spreading awareness in the country. Awareness is being spread through ASHA and AKM but their salary etc. is so low that they are not encouraged.

There is a large knot on doctors and pharmaceutical companies, which is why most doctors write expensive medicines instead of generic medicines. Its biggest loss is to the poor.

Major measures to improve the health system of the country

Allocation of PF should be increased in the areas of health so that proper infrastructure can be built.

For the spread of health facilities in the rural and remote areas, the 'Mohalla Clinic' system should be adopted.

The Medical Council of India should be improved and Post Graduate seats of Medical should be increased.

The Model of Medical Tourism Hub, Chennai, should also be adopted in other cities. Also 'AYUSH' and 'Yoga' should also be encouraged.

The public drug scheme should be implemented at a wider level and coverage of facilities like affordable health insurance should be increased.

Conclusion:

It can be concluded that the country's health system suffers from many types of problems. By following the above mentioned measures, these problems can be resolved to a great extent.
