So far the success of Swachh Bharat Mission

Swachh Bharat Mission was started on October 2, 2014. Since October 2, 2014, more than 50 million toilets have been constructed in the country under this mission.

As many as 6 states, 217 districts and more than 2.5 lakh villages have been declared as open defecation in the open till December 30, 2017.

What kind of economic losses have to face due to lack of cleanliness?

One study by the World Bank has proved that due to lack of cleanliness, India has to suffer more than 6 percent of its GDP.

Similarly, another study of the World Bank has estimated that nearly 40 percent of India's children are mentally and physically less developed due to lack of hygiene.

If the physical and mental development of such a large number of children is blocked, then the country will get a weak human resource so that we cannot get the benefit of 'Demographic Dividend'.

UNICEF has also studied the economic effects of sanitation. According to this, every family in the open-defecation village in the open, save about 50,000 rupees per year in terms of the cost of treatment, time and life of the family.

Conclusion:

It can be concluded that investment in cleanliness brings health as a reward and leads to proper physical and mental development.
