Education played important role in removal of poverty by way of social development, economic development, technological, political and other development.
ROLE OF EDUCATION IN REMOVING POVERTY:
1. Social development: Education played important role in rural area like women development, social discrimination and encouraging people to agriculture work activities. It also help us in achieving equality.
2. Economic development: Spread of education in different area which motives then to get party image on economic activity such as professionalism, entrepreneurship, business and other which leads to less poverty and unemployment. Education is bringing new and modern ideas of development to the rural areas. More and more women are scaling the ladders of higher education and exploring the new careers.
3. Political development: Education brings us understanding of politics and encourage to participate in politics people will aware about their voting rights, RTI and now a days due to lack of education and knowledge women are not participating in politics in politics.
4. Technological Development: Today whole world is moving towards the digital world since it will help poor people to get new opportunity and challenges in technological development.
5. Cultural development: Today’s culture is advancing fast, with the introduction and availability of different kinds of modern gadgets, both in the urban and rural sectors of India. To handle and utilize the benefits of these advanced gadgets, education is a prerequisite. For example, a rural farmer who has access to modern agricultural tools like fertilizers, tractors, threshers and harvesters must be educated enough to understand the advantages of those tools. The progress of culture also necessitates liberty of individuals and social co-ordination. Education can affect the intellectual life of people.
CONCLUSION:
Education is the most important instrument for bringing socio-economic, cultural and political changes in removal of poverty. Government has taken many steps to increase the spread and quality of education in rural areas. Programs like Sarve Shiksha Abhiyan, Mid-day Meal, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao etc are being implemented to increase the reach of the education.
