India and China both are the emerging global power in the world whether it can be terms of economic or political terms. They both have great influence on the nation situated in Indian Ocean region and Indo-Pacific region.
In following way they can ensure that Asian Century belongs to them-
- Wining the confidence of the neighborhood countries - this can be done by providing them financial and Technological support whenever they are in need.
- Take leadership role in the regional groups like SAARC, ASEAN, RCEP meetings and utilized them as a tool to further their interest and benefit of other members.
- Robust bilateral relationship - e.g. India and China can play an important role in settling of rohingya issue by providing Myanmar support in settling rohingya in taking state. This will bring a good image of them as helping country.
Tackle security concerns –
- Both can engage in unison effort to tackle the security and other issue like human trafficking, drug trafficking etc in Indian Ocean and Pacific region.
- They can help in political development of country in Asian Region e.g. India can provide necessary support in the political and democratic development and set up of democratic institutions in the country.
- Both should ensure more and more investment in the country in Asian region. This will help in the economic growth of these countries and spurt trade which in turns helps in expanding China and India growth.
- Soft diplomacy can be used to engage more and more people interaction and to develop a sense of belonging between countries.
CONCLUSION:-
India and China both can be new political power. but both first have to remove the Various tension existing between them. The can be the future for the growth and stability of Asian region.
