The moon was supposed to be dry decades ago. Earlier studies hadn't found any evidence of water on moon until now.
- Two new studies published suggest, tgere could be much more water than previously thought, including Ice Water.
- Using data from NASA's Sofia Telescope, researchers scanned the lunar surface at more focus and found the evidence of water on moon.
- Researchers believe the water might be trapped in glass beads, or sand grains that protects it from the harsh Lunar environment.
- The team said if we could find the water is abundant enough in certain locations, we may be able to use it as a resource for Human Exploration.
- It could be used as drinking water, breathable oxygen and Rocket Fuel.
- Now the second report looks at areas of the Moon's Polar regions, where ice-water is believed to be trapped in lunar craters, that never receives sunlight.
