An attempt is being made to change the path of the Brahmaputra River by ignoring China's interests by China. If China succeeds in its plan, then what impact will it have on Indian interests, explain it elaborately? Which logic will you present to solve this issue?

The origin of the Brahmaputra River is from the Bhagirath Glacier located in the Himalayan region. It flows through China, India and Bangladesh. Since its origins occur in Tibet under the jurisdiction of China, it is often tried by China that the water of the Brahmaputra River be exploited by the same person. Recently, once again China has been discussing the efforts of China to build a dam on the Brahmaputra River.

If China succeeds in its purpose and becomes successful in bringing changes in the path of Brahmaputra river by constructing a dam, then it will have serious impact on India's geographical interests as well as environmental, security and economic interests.

If China succeeds in its objective, then it will affect the Indian interests.

If there is unnecessary obstruction on the water of the Brahmaputra River, this will change the landscape. Water will also decrease as well.

Due to the decrease in water, the interests of Indian and Bangladeshi nationals will be affected as the livelihood of majority Indian and Bangladeshi citizens depends on river Brahmaputra.

If there is a change in the path of the Brahmaputra River, then it will have serious impact on the biodiversity of the Brahmaputra river. It is known that the biodiversity of Arunachal Pradesh will have a serious impact.

Any such attempt will cause serious threat to borderline security as the resistance of China's action will definitely be done by India. In this situation, a war-like situation can be created between the two countries.

Above all, China's resistance to this step can be done by New Delhi as well as by Dhadka. The reason for this is that the waters of Brahmaputra have an important role in the economy of Bangladesh.

Steps to be taken to resolve this issue:

There has always been a dispute over the rivers coming out of Tibet which flow through India. Therefore, the bilateral agreement between India and China should be expeditiously in relation to such rivers.

A proper system of sharing of data should be established in relation to such rivers that flow from Tibet and flow through India.

If any developmental work, such as a dam is built on these rivers, then its adequate geographical and environmental studies should be done.

Conclusions: -

It can be concluded that China's efforts to change the route of the Brahmaputra river will have serious implications for Indian interests. This issue can be resolved by following the above mentioned suggestions.
