शब्दों का वह समूह जिसका कोई पूर्ण अर्थ हो sentence या वाक्य कहलाता है ।
Phrase(वाक्य -खण्ड )- "A combination of words that makes sense ,but not complete sense ,is called a phrase."
"A group of words which makes sense but not complete sense ,is called a phrase."
शब्दों का वह समूह जिसका कुछ अर्थ हो, लेकिन पूर्ण अर्थ न हो , phrase कहलाता है । जैसे ÷ of great courage, at the door, sands of time, etc."
Clause(उपवाक्य )-"A group of words which forms part of a sentence, and contains a subject and a predicate, is called a clause."
शब्दों का वह समूह जो किसी वाक्य का भाग हो और जिसके अपने subject और predicate तथा Verb हों , clause (उपवाक्य ) कहलाता है । जैसे -
He said that he was not well.
Do you know the man who came here yesterday ?
