You are the Sarpanch of a Panchayat. There is a primary school run by the government in your area. Children attending school are given day-to-mid meals (mid-day meal). Headmaster has now appointed a new cook to prepare the food. But when it came to know that the chef belongs to the dalit community, about half of the upper castes children do not allow their parents to eat. As a result, the attendance of children in school decreased rapidly. As a result, the possibility of terminating the day-to-day meal plan and then the removal of the teaching staff and subsequent closure of the school was born. (a) Discuss some practical strategies to overcome this struggle and create a right and pleasant environment. (b) What is the duty of various social sections and agencies to create such a positive social atmosphere for accepting such changes?

This matter relates to the problem of racism. The problem of racism has harmed the country in two ways. One, it has done the work of breaking the unity of man and on the other hand it has prevented people from being organized as a nation.

 The following fitting strategies can be used to overcome this struggle and create a true and pleasant atmosphere-

Due to being a dalit cook, the attendance in the school has decreased considerably and the condition of the closure of the school has come up, so for the first time, after sending the dalit cook for a few days, it is necessary to work on a high caste chef.

This will solve the immediate reason of the presence of the school in less time and the situation like the first will be established.

On the other hand, an attempt to find permanent solutions to this problem will also be done, because untouchability has been declared as crime.

As a sarpanch, my Gram Sabha will be organized and people will be explained that casteism is a social evil which is neither considered as lawful nor constitutional. Most of all, the right to equality in the Indian Constitution has been granted.

In the Gram Sabha, those people of upper caste and elite section who will be progressive are also invited. Along with all of these, I would personally adopt the food produced by the dalit person so that the people's mindset can be changed.

 Different social blocks and agencies should have the following duties to accept such changes and to create a socially pleasant environment.

The most prominent role in resolving this type of problem is the family. If children are taught human equality in the family, then surely children will be progressive thinking and they will stay away from evil like casteism.

Being a Sarpanch, I will have this duty to inform all the members of the Gram Sabhas about the evils of casteism and untouchability and have launched a campaign for the boycott of these evils.

Similarly, administrative agencies can also play an important role in resolving this type of problem. People should be made aware of such problems through administrative agencies and those who have violated should be punished.

Thus, if different social sections and administrative agencies discharge their responsibility honestly, then a positive and socially pleasant environment can definitely be created.
