DEFINE MALNUTRITION.WHAT ARE THE MAIN REASONS FOR MALNUTRITION IN INDIA?DISCUSS ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT STEPS TAKEN TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

Malnutrition: Malnutrition refers to the situation where there is an unbalanced diet in which some nutrients are in excess, lacking or wrong proportion.
HUnger: Hunger is a condition in which a person, for a sustained period, is unable to eat sufficient food to meet basic nutritional needs.
Under Nutrition:Undernutrition denotes insufficient intake of energy and nutrients to meet an individual's needs to maintain good health.

India has got 100th out of 119 in Hunger this is the worse situation for India as fastest growing economy and report has been released by International Food policy And Research.
Some of the Causes In India:
1. Some of the major causes for malnutrition in India are Economic inequality and Poverty.
2.Due to the low social status of some population groups, their diet often lacks in both quality and quantity.
3.Women who suffer malnutrition are less likely to have healthy babies. In
India, mothers generally lack proper knowledge in feeding children.
4.New born infants are unable to get adequate amount of nutrition from their mothers.

1. Mid day Meals Schemes
2. National Health Mission
3. Public Distribution System.
4. Integrated Child Development Programs.
5.Swacch Bharat Abhiyan
6. MAA, PM Maitritva Yojana. and promotion of SDG.


 CONCLUSION:Thre is enough steps has been taken to over come poverty, Hunger, and malnutrition but there is need to change the behavior of the people, needs to remove the inequality among the people.
