Water scarcity, this may caused both natural and manmade. Main factor that contribute to this issue include poor management of resources, lake of government regulations and waste by man. India has the second largest population country in the world and its population approx 125 crore and 18% of the world population which recides in India, in India only has access to 4% of usable water sources.

On the other hand the cause of water crasis is global changing like population growth, climate changes, industrialization and urabanization severely affect water availability and lead to durable water deficiency.

More than half a dozen districts and Simla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh are facing a severe drinking water crasis these days. Due to deficient precipitation during Winter, the major water sources have either gone fully or partially dry and in spite of a number of small and big rivers flowing through the state, successive government has done nothing to lift water from these perennial sources. Due to water crasis in Simla has cast its shadow on the tourist in flow to this hill town. Those into tourism industry revealed that tourist visiting Himachal makes travels plan which include Simla, Manali, Dolhousie and other its hill town. But water crasis in Simal has made them divert reutes to Jammu and Kashmir or other hill town of Uttarakhand.
