This problem is a two-dimensional meaning that the social dimension is also associated with law and order. While crime against women exposes the weakness of law and order, on the other hand, patriarchies are dominated in the society, which is inclined to keep women in the status of supremacy.
To solve this problem, both the administrative level and social level will have to be worked out.
Action to be done at the administrative level:
Instructions will be issued to the police stations of the district by bringing them to the notice of the Superintendent of Police that they should file an FIR promptly on matters relating to women crimes.
A special cell will be formed in which female police personnel will be included.
Sensitive places will be detected and adequate availability of police forces will be ensured there.
Similarly, arrangements will be made to keep constant monitoring of CCTV cameras in places where fluffiness incidents occur repeatedly. Also, emergency police vehicles will be kept in alert condition.
Girls will be trained in self-defense by applying camps etc. in schools, colleges etc. so that they can be able to protect themselves.
Steps taken at social level:
The campaign will be conducted to make people aware about gender equality.
They will be provided employment by providing skill development training to women. It is important that women's social empowerment is not possible without economic empowerment.
NGOs working for women, social workers and formal and informal groups will be taken to help.
In different places in the district, those women, who have achieved a new position on their own strength, will be invited and motivational speeches will be organized so that the person's patriotic attitude can be managed.
In this way, the problem can be properly diagnosed by empowering the law system at the administrative level and running a social awareness campaign.
