On the one hand, it has worked to prevent mutual co-ordination and interaction between people and on the other hand prevent people from developing as a nation citizen.

Caste leaders can preserve their own interests in a traditional form because their existence remains on the basis of caste groups. Thus caste system and racism are two major social evils, which are dependent on each other.

Racism is increasing in India because the caste is presented as a participant in happiness and misery. The person is made to realize that caste is the system which comes in its time of crisis.
Various racist organizations are created and efforts are made to include all members belonging to that caste in this organization.
In the development of casteism, the evil mindset of political parties is contributing a lot. Political parties use caste groups as vote banks.
Casteist powers engage in constant efforts to discourage endue and inter-caste marriages. Khap Panchayats are prominent among these casteist powers.
