Babur (1526-1530 A.D) Part-2

  • In the first battle of Panipat in 21 April, 1526 AD, he finally defeated Ibrahim Lodhi.
  • After he won battle of Panipat. He gave each anclevery citizen of Kabul a silver coin. That's why he is also called 'Kalander'.
  • On the 17 March 1527 at Khanna (40 K.m. far from Agra) he defeated Rana Sanga. After it he decided to stay in India. He took the title of 'Ghazi'.
  • In A.D 1529, he defeated  Muhammad Lodhi (uncle of Ibrahim Lodhi) in the battle of Ghaghra. Defeated another Rajput ruler Medini Rai in battle of Chanderi in A.D 1528.
  • On May 1529 in the battle of Ghaghra he defeated Lohani Afgani army of Bengal and Bihar.
  • He died in A.D 1530, buried at Aram Bagh in Agra, later his body was taken to Aaram Bagh at Kabul.
  • He wrote Tuzuk-i-Babari or Babarnama in Turkish. It was translated into Persian by Abdul Rahim khan-i-khanan and in English by Madam Bebridge.
  • His victory led to rapid popularisation of gun power and artillery in India.
  • For measuring road he introduced Gaj-e-Baburi.
  • Babur's empire outstretched from Kabul to Bihar and to Gwalior in South.
  • As Babur established the Mughal dynasty, his name comes in most famos warriors and conquerors.
