Advant of the Dutch

  • The first business group of Dutch came to Malaya Island group. 'Coarnalis do Hastman' was the first Dutch who came to India in 1596 through cape of good hope.
  • 'Dutch India' company was formed in 1602 AD. In a short period of time they captured spice market.
  • In 1641 AD they conquered Ilakka. hi 1652 AD they finished the power of Portguess in Sri Lanka and increased their power of Southern India.
  • Their main aim was towards South-East. Due to which their power started to losses and other Europeans power came into being. They Dutch conceded to British after their defeat in to the battle of Sedera in 1759.
