krishi Kalyan Abhiyan (KKA) is being implemented in 25 villages in each of the 111 Aspirational Districts from June 1 to July 31, 2018. KKA undertakes various activities to promote best farment practices and enhance Agriculture income. KKA will be undertaken in 25 Villages with more than 1000 population each in Aspirational Districts identified in consultation with Ministry of Rural Development as per directional of NITI Aayog. In districts shere number of villates (with more than 1000 population) is less than 25, all villages will be covered.
An Action Plan comprising specifically identifies activities under various departments of the ministry namely Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries and Department of Agricultural Research and Education, will be implemented in each district.
The overall coordination and imlementation in the 25 villages of a district is being done by Krishi Vigyan kendra of that district. 111 officers have also been made in-charge of one district each for overall coordination and field level monitoring. These officers have been selected from subordinate/attached/autonomous organizations/PSUs etc. of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
