A Jyotirlinga or Jyotirlingam, is devotional representation of the hindu God Shiva. The word is Sanskrit composed of jyotis 'radiance' and linga. Shiva Mahapurana mention 64 jyotirlinga shrines in India and Nepal, 12 of which are most sacred and they are called are Maha Jyotirlinga .
