Types of Earthquake :-
Thses types of Earthquake occur due to the movement of bottoms of prolapsed sides. Most of the Earthquake are generally tectonic Earthquake.
These types of Earthquake occur during the Volcanic ejaculatory & most of them are limited to the active zones of volcano.
These types of occur in the minimum areas because of the collapse of the top of the mines.
It occurs because of the Nuclear & chemical explosion.
- Dam generated Earthquake :-
These situations occurs in the areas large dams.
- The intensity of an Earthquake is measured with the help of an instrument called 'Seismograph' & it is measured in the unit known as 'Richter Scale'.
Main areas of origin of Earthquake (Seismic zones);-
i) Circum pacific belt ( The pacific coast line).
ii) Central-Continent belt
iii) Central-Atlantic belt
iv) East African belt
- Most of the Earthquake in the world occur in the Pacific coast line areas.
- Most of the Earthquake in the world occur in Japan.
Volcano :-
- It is mainly a natural hole or a rift on the surface of the Earth, which is connected with the internal part of the Earth through the ''Volcanic tube" and magma, gas, water vapour, ash, segments of rocks, etc., come ouy from the underground through this tube.
- The volcano is of conical shape.
- There is an infula pit on the top of the volcanic cone, which is called a 'crater'.
- Because of the deposition of water in the crater, the 'crater lake' is formed.
- There are three types of volcano based on there ejaculatory time period.
i) Active Volcano - Stromboli (Lipari Island), Etna (Cicely Island), Cotopaxi (Ecuador).
ii) Dormant volcano - Fujiyama (Japan), Vesuvius (Itley), Krakatu ( Indonesia).
iii) Dead Volcano :- Kilimanjaro (Tan-zania, Africa), Chimborazo (Ecuador, South America), PoppPoppa (Myanmar), Ekankaguna (South Africa).
- In India the active volcanos are found in the Barrel Island (Andaman and Nicobar islaIds) and dormant volcanoes are found in the Narkondum Island (Andaman and Nicobar Islands).
- Cotopaxi is the highest Active Volcano in the world.
- Stromboli is called the light pole of the Mediterranean Sea.
Regional Distribution of Volcano :-
i) The Pacific Coast line
ii) Central-Continent belt
iii) Central-Atlantic belt
iv) East African belt
- The Pacific coast line is called the 'fire ring' of the Pacific' because almost 2/3 of the active volcanos are found in this regions.
