Software Engineering

Software engineering deals with all concerns related to software development.
Engineering techniques are used to inform[clarification needed] the software development process  which involves the definition, implementation, assessment, measurement, management, change, and improvement of the software life cycle process itself. It heavily uses software configuration management which is about systematically controlling changes to the configuration, and maintaining the integrity and traceability of the configuration and code throughout the system life cycle. Modern processes use software versioning.


Planning: The project planning must incorporate the major issues like size & cost estimation scheduling, project monitoring, personnel selection evaluation & risk management. To plan a successful software project, we must understand: Scope of work to be completed and it's risk analysis ment and how to solve it etc.

Designing:Software design is the process of envisioning and defining software solutions to one or more sets of problems. One of the main components of software design is the software requirements analysis (SRA). SRA is a part of the software development process that lists specifications used in software engineering.

Development:Software development is the process of conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications, frameworks, or other software components.

Testing:System testing is defined as testing of a complete and fully integrated software product. This testing falls in black-box testing wherein knowledge of the inner design of the code is not a pre-requisite and is done by the testing team.

Deployment and maintenance:When the system meets your approval and is ready to “go live”, we deploy it to your production environment and assist with your organization's transition to the new system. The development platforms we use support a broad range of deployment options.
Software maintenance in software engineering is the modification of a software product after delivery to correct faults, to improve performance or other attributes. A common perception of maintenance is that it merely involves fixing defects.
