(1) Painting of Akbar's era ------ The artists of this era were Tujuke - Babri, Dastane - Amir - Hamza, Tarikha - Khandane - Tamuria, Badshahnama, Zafarnama, Changjeanama, Ramayan, Nal - Daimanti, Kaliya - Daman Etc. In the time of Akbar, the main painters were Mir Syed Ali, Khwaja Abdul Samad, Keshav, Jagannath, Dhanraj, Shankar, Mahesh, Bhura, Anant etc.
(2) Painting of the era of Jahangir - During the reign of Jahangir, there was special advancement of painting. In Jahangir's reign, painters painted pictures based on all subjects, including pictures of human pictures, rivers, scenes of prey, natural beauty, flower-fruits, animals and birds. The English ambassador Sir Tamas Rao has praised the painting of Jahangir's time. The great painter of this period was Ustad Mansoor, who made living pictures of the idiotic animals. In other painters, I saw the pictures of Hirat Khan, Abul Hassan and Muhammad Nadir of Samarkand. Muhammad Murad was there. Hindus were painters like Bishishdas, Manohar Madhav, Tuulasi Govardhan etc. Farsi style legendary Farooq Beg also lived in Jahangir's court. The reign of Jahangir is considered to be the golden era of the development of painting, because in this age, painting is the most developed.
