Juhi Chawla born on 13th November in the year 1967 is a famous Indian actress who is well known for her cute smiling and comic timing in films. She was born to Dr S. Chawla and Mona Chawla in Ambala situated in Haryana, India. Juhi completed her schooling from Ludhiana and was graduated from Sydenham College, Mumbai with a specialization in HR. As soon as she completed her graduation she entered in to Miss India Competition and was crowned Miss India in the year 1984 and in the same year she also participated in Miss Universe Contest and won Best Costume Award.
She is an expert classical singer and a very good dancer and knows Kathak. Juhi Chawla started her career in Bollywood movies with the film Sultanat in the year 1986 directed by Mukul S.Anand and she also acted in Kannada classic Premloka which was directed by Ravichadran in the year 1987. She also acted in two more Kannada films namely Shanthi Kranthi and Kindara Jogi, which did not fare well in the box office. She also featured in Goonj with Kumar Gaurav. Her first big movie was Qayamat se Qayamat Tak with Aamir Khan in 1988 which went on to become a huge hit. She also won film fare award for the best debutant award. In the year 1990 she starred in Pratibandh which was a big success and she was nominated for the film fare best movie award. Some of her successful movies includes Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Eeena Meena Deeka, Darr, Daraar, Yes Boss , Deewana Mastana , Duplicate and Phir Bhi Dil hai Hindustani and many more. She has acted more than 90 movies through out her career.
Juhi was very close to her mother, Mona, who passed away in Prague because of an accident during the shooting of Duplicate in 1997. Juhi Chawla is married to industrialist Jay Mehta in the year 1998 and since then the couple have a daughter, Jhanvi, and son, Arjun. Juhi Chawla also shares the ownership of the team Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League with ShahRukh Khan. They also Own a Production Company called Dreamz Unlimited where they released three movies Phir Bhi Dil hai Hindustani, Asoka and Chalte Chalte which was their first success.
She won film fare awards for Qayamat se Wayamat tak and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and nominated for many other movies such as Bol radha bol, Daraar, Yes Boss, Asoka etc.
