Meenakshi Seshadri is a beautiful, charming Indian actress and her unique beauty and dancing attainments have gained her a name in the film industry. Meenakshi Seshadri was born on 16th November to a Tamil Brahmin family in Sindhri, Jharkhand . Her Original name was Shashikala Seshadri and her father was an employee of Sindri fertiliser plant. Meenakshi was a trained dancer in four Indian classical dance forms like Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Odissi. She gave her first stage performance at the age of 4. In 1981. Meenakshi participated in Miss India contest. She is the youngest woman to be crowned Miss India at the age of 17.
She started her career in movie's and her first Bollywood film was the Painter Babu in 1983 , though It was flop, she was noticed by rising film-maker Subhash Ghai, as he was looking for the actress name starts with M which was lucky for him and given a chance in the Movie HERO in the year 1983. Hero was the biggest movie of the year and it changed her fortune .She got many opportunities beside famous actors. She was nominated for a Filmfare Award for her role in the film Damini. Meenakshi Seshadri went on to do many more films with famous banners.Some of her successful movies includes Satyamev Jayte (1985), Meri Jung (1985), Dacait (1987), Shehanshah (1988) and Joshilay (1989). Toofan (1989) and her last movie Do Rahein (1997).Seshadri was nominated for Filmfare Best Actress Award for Jurm in 1991 and for Damini in 1994.
Meenakshi married an investment banker, Harish Mysore and settled down in Texas, USA. She has 2 children, daughter Kendra and a son Josh. Apparently she is teaching Bharat natyam, Kathak and Odissi. She performs with her students at charity events and fundraisers.
