Crips Mission (1942)

In the atmosphere of frustration and despair, Britain was troubled to get active support of India, so that not only could Japan stop from going ahead, it would be of great help in preparing for the Balki war. Was that the political problem of India To solve the problem, the then American national Roosevelt believed that the support of Indians to stop Japan's propaganda was inevitable. So Chachil planned to send Stephen Creeps, a member of the war-time Cabinet, to India.

(1) India, after the expiration of the war, the acquisition of the Dominion State, in which the right to be separated from the Commonwealth

(2) After the war, a Constitutional nomination body will be formed for India, so that the election of the members will be with the provincial legislator and in which nominated members will also be nominated by the state princely states.

(3) Maintaining its existence apart from the Indian Union of provinces. Will be the chief. And you will be able to compromise with the UK directly about yourself or the future.

(4) There will be a treaty in the British Government and the Constituent Assembly, in which the British Government will give assurances and security descriptions given to Indian religious and minority castes.

(5) The responsibility of protecting the country will be only in the UK and, exceptionally, will be appointed as a member of an Indian defense.

Nationalist leaders protested not to give place to any Indian representative in the Creeps mission.
