This program was started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on September 25, 2014.
Under the 'Make in India Policy', cooperation will be given for the development of industrial units.
'Invest India' will guide foreign investors on all aspects related to regulatory and policy matters.
This policy will also focus on the domestic companies which are ahead in the field of innovation and new technology. Also, the aim of this policy is to make such companies lead in global competition.
Under this policy, the emphasis on ease of doing business, simple licensing, better use of technology etc.
Along with Make in India, important areas like defense construction, railways will be opened for direct foreign investment.
Advanced Center for Excellence for Research and Development in IIT Delhi, Mumbai, Madras Kharampur and Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Bangalore will be established under this scheme.
