Diarchy system

In the Treaty of Allahabad, the rule of dual government system or dual government was initiated by the system of separating the civilian from the Nizamat. But it was only in theory. Through the right to nominate the Nawab of Bengal in practice, the Company's civil and Nizam means that the police and judicial powers are also controlled.

In this way the company became a real ruler, and Nazim and Diwan began to consume the rights of both of them. Though the intention of the civil adviser was to follow the administrative responsibilities, but Clive did not want to take any such responsibility. So he embodied the responsibilities of the posts of Nab Nazim and Diwan in the same person. In this post, Mohammad Raza Khan was appointed to Bihar and Shibat Rai was appointed in Bihar. In essence, it is said that although in principle the Nizam was separated from the civil, but in reality, both of the rights companies were inherent in me.

The question arises that why was not prepared to take administrative responsibility attached to the post of clive civil. The reasons for this were:

The fear of being against the East India Company of the native powers.

The company feared that by taking public obligations in Bengal, there would be suspicion of British intentions in other parts of the country, and in that case, European powers would meet local authorities and the balance of power would not remain in favor of the British.
