Following are the details of the major works of architecture of the Sultanate -
(1) - Architecture of Dasvans --- First Sultan of Daswan Qutbuddin Aibak created a Kutubminar, Kuvattul-ul-Islam Mosque in Delhi and a half-day mosque named Ajma in Ajmer. During the reign of Altutmish, Hauz-e-Shamsi and Idgah Was created. The tomb of Balban is also the gift of this era.
(2) - Architecture of Khilji dynasty --- The name of Alauddin Khilji in the rulers of Khilji dynasty is remarkable. In his reign, the fort of Siri, Alai Darwaza, Thousand-Situn-Mahal, Hauj-e-Elahi, Hauz-e-Khas etc. were constructed.
(3) - Architecture of the Tughlaq dynasty --- Cities like Jaunpur, Fatehabad, Hisar and Firozabad were built during the reign of Firoz Tughlaq. During the reign of his predecessor Sultan Muhammad Tughlaq, the fort of old Delhi was constructed. Pirojan Tughlaq created the fort of Kotala and many other buildings.
(4) - Other samples of architecture --- In addition to the Sultanate in the Sultanate period, the rulers and sub-rulers of different provinces also encouraged architecture. As
● Multan architecture --- Multan was also a major province of Delhi Sultanate. The tomb of Shamsuddin built by the Sultans of India and the tomb of Rukne-Alam are excellent examples of architecture.
● Architecture of Bengal and Kashmir --- Tomb of Adina Masjid, Lotan Mosque, Big Gold Mosque, Small Gold Mosque and Jalaluddin Muhammad Shah in Bengal are excellent specimens of architecture in Sultanate period.
● Malva, Jaunpur and the architecture of Gujarat --- Mandu Masjid and Hindola castle are unique examples of architecture of Malwa. Similarly, the Atala Mosque, Kabuli Masjid and Lal Darwaja Mosque and Jaunpur Art and the Jama Masjid in the fifteen domes and two hundred Pillars are a beautiful example of architecture of Gujarat.
● Architecture of South India - Bahamani rulers presented a beautiful example of architecture by making the mosque of Gulbarga. Similarly, the Sultans of Vijayanagar developed their architectural art by making Vijaynagar a beautiful city. In the context of this city, a foreign passenger named AbdurRajak wrote that, "No such town has been seen in the whole world and has not been heard."
