Research ethics

Ethics is a familiar part of everyday life. All of us evaluate the moral character of other people, the fairness of government policies and our own behaviour in the relation to our personal Ideals. Like the air we breathe, ethics is everywhere. Not surprisingly, therefore, ethics makes its presence felt in the profession. Whatever we do as professionals, we find ourself in a situation where we must make our best judgement about what is right or obligatory.

Recognization of the ethical dimension of the professional life has given rise to a growing number of area of a special interest, including Healthcare ethics, legal ethics, veterinary ethics, journalism ethics architecture ethics, Business Ethics And Engineering ethics among educated business leader and national policy makers there is a growing consensus that young people are better prepared to embark ok on a professional career if they have been introduced to critical thinking skill that they will need when they face the article challenges that await them.

It is against this backdrop that research ethics should be viewed. True, when  some people hear these words, what they hear is the suggestion that somebody think someone is doing something wrong. but this is not what these word mean. The word themselves make no equation of do there is any suspicious of wrongdoing. Like it or not as researcher, we find ourselves in a situation where we must answer ethical question that arise in the contacts of our research. so these words "research ethics" refer to the process of critically reflecting on ethical question that researcher face in their capacity as researchers.
