Industrial relation in India

A job description is a standard function to solve industrial dispute to maintain sound Industrial trail Relation. if an employee attempt to add or to delete some duties from one listed in job description the standard has been violated. the labour Union as well as the management interest has been violated in this matter. controversies often result, and a written record of the standard job description is valuable in resolving such disputes.

The term industrial relation is used to refer the relation between the employee and employer. Under the present time factory system of Industrial Production the two parties which come into direct contact with each other are the worker and the management representing the employer. both the parties have common interest in industry and yet numerous are the occasion where they may be found pulling in different directions.

The industrial relation situation will grow more Complex. the complexity does not necessarily lead to turbulence but it can feed to the turbulence if not properly managed. it can be visualised that the Monolithic trade union will break, while more Federal type of organisation will come up. there will will be many more interest group at present we are witnessing separate Association of scheduled caste and Scheduled tribes. but in near future we shall have trade union or welfare association for women. there could also be Union of person working with computers, economist and engineer etc.

Industrial Relations bring out some of the important problem in these areas. for example-

  • The problem of winning worker Corporation
  • The problem of enforcing proper discipline among worker
  • The problem dealing with organised labour and
  • The problem of establishing a state of democracy in the industry by associating workers with the management of industry.
