Climate & Precipitation

The average weather conditions over a large area is called the climate of a place. Weather conditions over a specific length of a time usually a period of 31 years taken into consideration.

On a large scale the cluy of a particular region is determined by:

Latitude and tilt of the earths exis which determined the amount of solar radiation received by the area 

The distribution of the land and sea and proximity of ocean currents;

The altitude and topography of the area;

The location of the area in relation to the main circulation belts of the earth;

Climate can be classified on the basis of the temperature, rainfall, evaporation, evapotranspiration and water balance.

Precipitation:-

It refers to the falling of water ,snow or hail from the clouds and results when condensation is occurring rapidly within a clouds.

The most common form of precipitatio in rain and it's is formed when many clouds droplets coalesce into drops to large to remain suspended in the air.

Rainfall occurs when the dew points of air is above the freezing point.

Sometimes in  the rain drops freeze before reaching the ground and precipitation occurs in the form of ice pallets are called street.
