Describe about the Fundamental Duties?

10 Fundamental duties are included in the constitution in chapter 4 a article 51 A through the constitutional amendment 42 base on the Recommendation of Sawarna  Singh committee.

  • The fundamental duties are taken from USSR.
  • Total 11 fundamental duties in present.
  • The fundamental duties are not approved legally.
  • The arrangement in article 51 A indicates the following fundamental duties of Indian citizen:- 

(A) follow the constitution and respect the ideals & institutes of Constitution, the national flag and National Anthem.

(B) Imbibe the ideal inspiring the National movement for the indepIndep & comply with them.

(C) Protect the sovereignty, Unity and integrity of our nation & maintain it.

(D) Defend for the country & serves to the nation whenever you are needed.

(E) Bulid the feelings of Harmony & brotherhood among the Indians beyond discrimination of religion, lang, region or class. Discard the customs against the women easteem.

(F) Understand the glorious tradition of collective cultural & examine it.

(G) Have compassion for animals & works for the conservation & enhancement of the nature, the environment like lakes, forest, rivers, wild life.

(H) Develop the sense for humanim, scientific viewpoint, knowledge & improvement

(I) Keep away from violence & protect the public property.

(J) Try to move towards excellance in all spheres of mass and individual activities, through which the nation would move ahead to touch the height of efforts & achievement.

Addition in Fundamental :-

  • The section 11 is added after Section 10 in Articles 51(a) through the Constitution Amendment Act 86, 2000. Under this section, there is a provision for the parents or guardians or patrons of Children of age 6 - 14 to avail the opportunity of their education.
