- formal communication:- a type of communication is the transmission of information in the formal organisation structure. when a manager direct his Deputy to do something. it is an instance of formal communication.
- informal communication :-informal communication are part of functioning of informal group and Organisation based on personal social relationship which exist among the member of organisation.
- oral communication:- oral communication is the transmission of order message or suggestion through the spoken word. it may be face to face Ortho instruments like the telephone or telex. the sender and receiver exchange and information by word of mouth.
- written communication :-written communication refer to message writing including letter, note circular and memorandum etc.
- downward communication :-download communication implies the flow of information on understanding from person occupying higher position to those at lower level order instructions, circulars manual etc. belong to this category.
- upward communication :-upward communication is often called 'bottom-up' communication. the direction of flow of this communication is printed from lowest level to successively higher level in the organisation.
- horizontal communication:- horizontal communication is another direction of communication flows. sometimes back this was neglected in the designer organisation structure.
