Rule.(1)-
यदि की sentence का subject एक singular naun हो, तो उसके साथ singular verb का प्रयोग होता है। जैसे-
Mohan was always late. (सही)
Mohan were always late. (गलत)
Rule.(2)-
'I' का प्रयोग singular subject के रूप के होता है, लेकिन इसके साथ singular or plural verb का प्रयोग होता है। जैसे-
I am a teacher. (सही)
I was a student. (सही)
I have a cycle. (सही)
I write a letter. (सही)
Rule.(3)-
'you' का प्रयोग singular or plural subject के रूप में होता है, तथा इसके साथ plural verb का प्रयोग होता है। जैसे-
You are a student. (सही)
You are engineers. (सही)
You go there. (सही)
You are playing. (सही)
Rule.(4)-
Needn't और daren't का प्रयोग Singular or plural Subject के साथ Plural form में होता है। जैसे-
She needn't go there. (सही)
She needsn't go there. (गलत)
He daren't oppose his father. (सही)
He daresn't oppose his father. (गलत)
ऊपर दिए गए उदाहरणों में need't, daren't का प्रयोग Marginal Auxiliary verb के रूप में हुआ है। इसका प्रयोग singular में नहीं किया जा सकता है।
Note- (क)- लेकिन dare और need का प्रयोग main verb के रूप केे singular or plural दोनों ही रूप में होता है। जैसे-
He dares to face the difficulties. (सही)
He dare to face the difficulties. (गलत)
She needs a book. (सही)
She need a book. (गलत)
They need books. (सही)
They needs books. (गलत)
