In the view of the analysis sentences are of 4 kinds.
1. Simple sentences : The sentence which contains one subject and one predicate or one finite verb.
👍 Eg. No. 1 is simple sentence.
His courage won him honour.
2. Compound sentence : The sentence which contains two or more than two principal clause. They are made up with the help of coordinating conjunctions.
👍 eg. No 2 is compound sentences.
The moon was bright and everything was clear. Both are principal clause.
3. Complex sentence : A complex sentence consists one principal clause and one or more than one subordinate clause.
👍 Eg. No. 3 is complex sentence.
He went when evening came.
Note : He went is principal clause while when evening came is subordinate clause.
4. Mixed sentences: A sentence which contains atleast two principal clauses and one subordinate clause.
Eg. No. 4. is mixed sentence.
