Verb : Finite and Nonfinite

Finite Verb: The verb which is used according to number, gender, person, tense, and subject etc. Called finite verb. Finite verb always keeps changing its form according to sentence form.

Eg.

1. Mohan goes to school.

2. We go to school.

3.I am studying.

4. He went to school.

Note. Above sentences' verb is changing according to person, gender, and number, tense, hence verb is to be called in finite.

Non finite verb: the verb which has no change according to gender, number, person, is to be in non finite.

1. Smoking is bad habit.

2. He kept weeping.

3. To walk is good.

✍️ Note : above bold written words are non finite and they never change their form according to tence or subject.

Kinds of non- finite verb 

There are 3 kinds of non -finite verb :

1. Infinitive

2. Participle

3. Gerund
