Raigarh municipal corporation of Chhattisgarh has won the "swachata excellence award 2019" the municipal corporation of Ambikapur of Chhattisgarh and Kumbakonam of Tamilnadu has bagged the second and third prices respectively. all of these are AMRUT cities. A total of 40 awards were distributed to the area level Federations, City livelihood federations and urban local bodies. these award was given by the Ministry of housing and urban affairs as a part of shehri Samriddhi Utsav.

- Greater Hyderabad municipal corporation has been awarded the first prize for the million plus cities
- Nagar Palika Parishad of Jashpur Nagar (Chhattisgarh ) malappu and Nagar Palika Parishad Surajpur (Chhattisgarh) claimed the price in the 'Statutory town' category
- from aspirational districts, municipal corporation (Bokaro District of ) has been awarded as consolation prize.
What is Shehri Samridhi Utsav
The Shehri Samridhi Utsav was organised by the Ministry of housing and urban affairs from 1st to 15th February 2019. A number of activities and events are organised at the city, state and national level as a part of initiative which aim that extending the outreach of national Urban livelihood mission to the poorest of the poor and the most vulnerable by showcasing its initiative and facilities assist of SHG member to other government schemes.
